Starting at Olde Mistick Village

It’s the 12th year for the Olde Mistick Village Annual Charity Chowder Cook-Off – a day filled with family fun and community support! Over 20 restaurants will serve up their signature chowder brew from the warmth of sponsoring shops in the Village. Celebrity judges will choose the winners in three categories – and the public votes the winners of the coveted “Best Chowder” category. All proceeds from the tastings benefit the Emergency Food Pantry at the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. This neighbors-helping-neighbors event has annually raised between $8,000 and $21,000 through the years. It’s a rain, snow or shine event. Winners are announced that day at 5pm in the OMV Meeting House.

But that’s not all. Throughout Olde Mistick Village there will be FREE family fun events for “children of all ages.” Choirs will be singing, demonstrations of live prey and underwater creatures, as well as surprise out of door winter events.
